Detective Conan (名 探 偵 コ ナ ン Meitantei Konan?) Is a detective manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. Since 1994 the story was published in Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine published in Japan. The series tells the story of Shinichi Kudo, a high school detective, whose body was shrinking due to a toxin.
Detective Conan has been published continuously in a magazine manga anthology Weekly Shōnen Sunday since 1994 and has been collected in 86 tankōbon volumes as of December 2014. In this version of Indonesian, Detective Conan published by Elex Media Komputindo who have published up to volume 83 to April 2015.
This story was later adapted into an animated TV series produced by TMS Entertainment and Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation of Japan, and is still airing today. In addition to the TV series, the story of a detective figure was also published in the form of original video animation (OVA), a TV drama, TV specials, movies speech, video games, and various forms of goods related to character Detective Conan.
Viz Media licensed the manga series for English-language publication in North America, while Funimation Entertainment licensed the anime series for local broadcasting in North America.  Both the English adaptation of the use of the title of Case Closed and the character’s name in it replaced to avoid problems right copyright to the name Detective Conan.
a 17-year-old high school detective who usually help the police solve the case, was attacked by two mysterious syndicate members when supervising an extortion. He was then made to drink poison mysterious recently completed developed to kill him. However, as a rare side effect of the unknown members of the syndicate, the toxin resulted in his body shrunk like a child aged seven years after they leave it. 
To conceal his identity and to investigate the state of the syndicate, hereinafter known as the Organisation in black or Black Organization, he disguises his name to Conan Edogawa.  to search for traces of the syndicate, he lived with a friend since childhood, Ran Mouri, which father, Kogoro Mouri, is a private investigator.  He attended elementary Teitan and forming groups Little Detective with three classmates, namely: Ayumi Yoshida, Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya, and Genta Kojima.  Although his body shrinking, it remains to solve case. Usually, he completed cases to imitate the sound of Kogoro Mouri with a tool created by neighbors, Professor Agasa. Kogoro Mouri, a detective rather stupid, initially confused the ability to solve the case of a sudden increase. But then he was not surprised because he is happy because his fame increased. Ran Mouri had several times suspect that Conan is Shinichi, but because of the ingenuity of Conan, then ran also believes that Conan is not Shinichi.
Furthermore, in this series, the other main character, Ai Haibara, appears. Ai is a former member of the Black Organization, which has the code name “Sherry”. His real name is Shiho Miyano, a scientist who developed poison APTX 4869 that makes the body Shinichi shrink.  After her brother was brutally murdered by members of the Black Organization, he tried to get out of the organization, but he was arrested.  He attempted suicide by swallowing a pill APTX 4869, but his body was shrinking, and he managed to escape from the organization.  He later attended elementary Teitan under the pseudonym “Ai Haibara.”  He knows the identity of the original Conan and help in the fight Conan dropping the Black Organization. Then, Conan was involved with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and they managed to capture Kir, a member of the Black Organization. Kir later discovered was an undercover CIA agent, and promised to give information to the FBI about the Black Organization.  They then returns Kir to the organization. Later, he told the FBI that the Black Organization there is a new member codenamed Bourbon.
Detective Conan series featuring characters created by Gosho Aoyama. The main plot of the story background of the place in modern Japan, with the use of real names of places such as Tokyo and Osaka, and also uses a fictitious place names such as “Teitan”, “Beika” and “Haido”. Version of the character’s name Funimation Entertainment and Viz Media (both in North America) has a number of differences with the original version. 
The main character in this series there are three, namely: Shinichi Kudo / Conan Edogawa, Ran Mouri, and Kogoro Mouri. This series also involves a lot of real parties with fictional characters such as Inspector Megure as a member of the Japanese police, Jodie Starling as members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Ethan Hondo as a member of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). This series also featured the fictitious organizations such as the Black Organization which is the organization of the antagonist in this series. Some children are in elementary school Teitan detective also formed a group called “Little Detective Group”. 
Manga Meitantei Konan (Detective Conan) written by Gosho Aoyama and published by Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday since February 2, 1994.  The manga was adapted into an anime series directed by Kenji Kodama and Yasuichiro Yamamoto and produced by TMS Entertainment and Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation.   The first episode of the anime series aired in Japan’s Nippon Television Network System on January 8, 1996. 
Gosho Aoyama call Arsène Lupin, Sherlock Holmes, and the samurai movie by Akira Kurosawa as factors that have influenced his work.  In an interview with the Sankei Shimbun on October 2, 2007, the Gosho hinted he had planned the cover story of this series, but he has no intention of ending the this series.   When creating a story, he tried to keep a fresh mystery by placing them in different situations and avoid complicated words and phrases to make sure the reader can follow the story. He revealed that he was taking an average of 4 hours
to hook up a story together, and 12 hours for difficult cases.
Volume of Detective Conan manga written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. In Japan, Detective Conan has been published in Weekly Shonen Sunday his Shogakukan since 2 February 1994.  Since the publication of Detective Conan, more than seven hundred chapters have been released in Japan. Each chapter (file) is collected by Shogakukan in a series of tankōbon volumes. The first volume was released on June 18, 1994;  up to October 2012, 76 volumes have been released.  Viz Media (publisher Detective Conan in North America) released the first volume on September 7, 2004, with 35 volumes released by July 13 2010.   Elex Media is a publisher of Detective Conan Komputindo the Indonesian version.  Elex Media Komputindo has published until volume 69 until September 2012.

Episode of the anime series Detective Conan is directed by Kenji Kodama and Yasuichiro Yamamoto and produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha and Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation.   The anime series was first played on January 8, 1996 and aired on Nippon Television Network System and Animax in Japan.    Fifty episodes of the series Detective Conan English broadcast on Cartoon Network as part of the Adult Swim program block on May 24, 2004 until January 2005 and has been stopped due to low popularity.
Until August 2010, 18 seasons and 153 overall volume has been released by Shogakukan.   Five DVD collection box from English adaptation of the anime has been released by Funimation Entertainment between 22 July 2008 and 12 May 2009. [36 ]  Box DVD re-released in an edition of Viridian from July 14 until 23 March 2010.
Seventeen films have been released utterances emanating from this series. The film was released in April since 1997. Each movie has a narrative plot lines and not an adaptation of the manga story. Among these films, only 11 were ever aired in Indonesia through Indosiar, is the film 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th.

Two series of original video animation (OVA) and an OVA produced by TMS Entertainment, Nippon Television, Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation. OVA series Shōnen Sunday Original Animation is an annual episodes available to customers Weekly Shōnen Sunday.  Shōnen Sunday Original Animation first available in Weekly Shōnen Sunday 26th edition in 2000 with 11 OVA have been released by 2011.  [46 ] Nine first episode of the series packed in a subsequent OVA 4 DVD volume titled Secret Files released between March 24, 2005 and 9 April 2010.   The 2nd OVA series titled Magic File is a straight to DVD release yearly. Magic File first released on April 11, 2007 and contains 4 episodes of the anime series.  OVA Magic File furthermore contains a plot with the background of each related to the film narrative Detective Conan beginning of the film to the 12th Detective Conan: Full Score of Fear.  Magic File to-5 relating to movies speech to the 15th Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence.  An episode OVA titled Meitantei Conan Supesharu 「Kaito Kiddo Tanjou no Himitsu lit. Detective Conan Special: Secret of the Birth of the Phantom Thief Kid) broadcast in NNS when the broadcast schedule Detective Conan on 24 April 2010. This plot reveals the origin of the Thief Kid.
A television special titled Lupin III vs Detective Conan Rupan Sansei vs Meitantei Konan?) Produced by TMS Entertainment, Nippon Television, Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation and aired on March 27, 2009.  Special TV was announced on the 9th edition of Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 2009.  TV Special is about Conan that investigates the death of Queen Vespania when Arsène Lupin III of the series Lupin III tries to steal the crown of the Queen. This TV special get a rating of 19.5 in Japan.  This TV special VAP released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 24, 2009.
In 2006, a television drama that focuses on Shinichi Kudo broadcasted by Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation to commemorate the 10th year of publication manga.  Episode others broadcast the following year.  The TV drama was produced by Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation and TMS entertainment and featuring award-winning actor; Shun Oguri plays Shinichi Kudo and Takanori Jinnai play Kogoro Mouri.  Both drama released on DVD after broadcast on television.   Drama TV-3, “Kudo Shinichi he no Chosenjo: Kaitori Densetsu no Nazo” (工藤 新 一 へ の 挑 戦 状 ~ 怪鳥 伝 説 の 謎 ~ ?, lit. Kudo Shinichi’s Written Challenge! The Mystery of the Legendary Strange Bird) published on 15 April 2011 and featuring Junpei Mizobata as Shinichi Kudo and Shioli Kutsuna as Ran Mouri. 
This drama featuring Shinichi Kudo story when investigating a mystery in his teenage body. The storyline first drama, “Meitantei Conan: Kudo Shinichi he no Chosenjo” Lit. Detective Conan: Kudo Shinichi’s Written Challenge), occurs before Shinichi investigate APTX 4869 and the drama is told about kidnappings on a cruise ship.  In the drama of the 2nd, “Kudo Shinichi no Fukkatsu! Kuro no Soshiki to no Taiketsu” , lit. Shinichi Kudo Returns! Showdown with the Black Organization), Shinichi’s body back to its original shape after eating a type of cake and should protect Miyano, whose body also has returned to the initial shape, of the Black Organization.

Seventy-nine theme song of the anime series Detective Conan has been released; 29 opening song, 36 songs cover, and 14 the theme song of the film narrative of this series. Universal Music Group released the first opening singles 2 tracks, 2 cover songs first, and the first movie theme song. All the theme song subsequently produced and released by Being Incorporated.  Being Inc later released 3 albums collection of the theme song, entitled “The Best of Detective Conan”, “The Best of Detective Conan 2″, “The Best of Detective Conan (The Movie Themes Collection) “, and” The Best of Detective Conan 3 “. 
Trading Card Games
Case Closed Trading Card Game is a game that can be collected based on the series Detective Conan (Case Closed). The game was produced by Score Entertainment, and published in June 2005 in the United States.  The game is played by 2 to 6 players.  The players compete to complete 3 cases using appropriate instructions, while simultaneously players trying to stopping their opponents to settle the case. Each player each take 5 steps in one turn.
In 2001, the manga Detective Conan won the Shogakukan Manga Award 46th for the category shōnen.  More than 120 million copies of tankōbon volumes have been sold.  In a survey for the manga with the most sales in Japan in 2008, Detective Conan volume 61, 62, and 63 respectively ranks 25, 28 and 45; and overall has sold 160 volumes.   In a survey in the first half of 2009, volume 64 was ranked 16th and the first half of 2010, volume 67 ranks 18.  
Reviewers from Mania.com, Eduardo M. Chavez praised Gosho Aoyama art style and how that style suitable for a mystery series.  He also commented on the drama, suspense, action and humor that is able to captivate readers of all ages and he also praised the plot, humor, and drama.  He criticized and were also disappointed on the name change the character of Detective Conan by Viz Media in the English version.  AE Sparrow of IGN praised the cases and declared the plot of this series were among Scooby-Doo and Sherlock Holmes.  Leroy Douresseaux of Comicbin.com mention an interesting story though the scheme less plausible crime used to commit murder.  Mangalife. com also praised the mystery and art style of this series, and commented on how sharp and expressive character.  
A national survey was hosted by TV Asahi stated the popularity of this series is ranked 6 large, 8th in the online survey, in 2005 and 23 in 2006.    At the annual Tokyo Anime Awards competition ke- 5, the film 9th of this series won the Film category of speech.  Blu-ray release of the film to the 13th awarded the Best Interactivity Award by Digital Entertainment Group Japan. 
Due to its high popularity, some agencies Japanese government has used this series to promote government policies like to introduce Summit G8 34th and used to promote the fight against crime generally.   The statue Shinichi Kudo, Conan Edogawa, and Ran Mouri can be found at Hokuei, Tottori Prefecture, Japan, the hometown of Gosho Aoyama, the author of Detective Conan.
